If the story was written in Sir Anselmo's narrative. There would be many differences in how the main characters felt, the way that Anselmo thinks about others, and how the story would be written. I think if it was in Sir Anselmo's narrative, he would introduce more about himself, his feelings, first. Secondly, he would talk more about his feeling, why he sold that land, and his thinking towards the Americans throughout the story. Lastly, The end of the story will be written in the perspective of Don Anselmo , and the theme would be different depends on what Don Anselmo thinks.

yes, because asking questions about his father's experiences in Vietnam shows that Terry cares about his father. Terry's questions would make his father feel better by sharing terrible experiences.In some way, Terry shows loves to his dad. The feeling of his dad, the feeling of fear, and stress could be healed by time and loves.

Short story

                                                 A Brother’s Revenge

One night on a field, there was no one around but, two men facing each other. One of them was Lloyd. Lloyd holds a katana, and he dressed in black. His eyes were full of vengeance. Lloyd was a very brave man who would not afraid of death; just to revenge for his passed wife. The other was a coward. The funny thing is they were brothers, and Lloyd has promised to revenge for my wife as long as he lived.

“Oh, My brother, Lloyd, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at home for your wife’s funeral? Ha ha ha!” The older brother said irritatingly.

“It’s none of your business. Since our parents died, you took all of their fortune, houses, and lands. I had to live in a tent near the mountain with my wife. We had a happy life, but then you were jealous with me having such a happy life. You killed my wife. I, Lloyd has promised totake the revenge for my wife as long as I live.” Lloyd cried.

“It is a misunderstanding; I didn’t kill your wife. She killed herself” Lloyd’s brother said

“There’s no need to lie. I saw you killed her. She screamed and called “help”. I ran in and saw you holding a knife with blood. You owe me my wife’s blood; you must pay me with your blood.” Lloyd said. When Lloyd thought about that moment when his wife died, his eyes were full of tears. As Lloyd stepped forward, he held his sword tighter. When Lloyd raised his sword, his brother yelled, “No, you can’t kill you own brother. Don’t you remember that we were good brothers? And a good brother would never hurt his brother.”

“And a good brother wouldn’t kill his brother’s wife” Lloyd replied. Lloyd withdrew his sword and took a depth breath.

“I don’t really have the heart for this” Lloyd spoke bravely. He closed his eyes and tried to walk away. He tried to forget everything, and he tried to live a new life.

“Go, go away. I never want to see you again. You rubbish. I would have killed you, but I would not. Thanks to the blood of yours, that you are my brother.” Lloyd said. Lloyd turned back and punched his brother as hard as he could.

“This is for what you’ve done to my wife” Lloyd shouted

Lloyd was angrier than ever. Lloyd stamped his foot to the ground, and continued punching his brother.

“You garbage, do you know how good she was? You have all what you want and you want your own brother to suffer. You don’t care about your own. How selfish of a brother” He said as he punched his brother. He punched his brother until his brother bleed, and then he kicked him. Lloyd turned back, and vowed to himself that he would not accept that man as his brother. He walked away slowly, and dropped his sword. Suddenly, there was a gun shot. His brother cowardly shot Lloyd from the back.

“Damn, you shot me?” Lloyd said angrily.

“That’s a lesson for you for being gullible. I could have died under your hand, but it seems like you are the person to die.” Lloyd’s brother arrogantly said. Lloyd used all of his remaining power in his body, ran forward his brother, and punched him in the face.

“That’s hurt, my brother, and now you will suffer your death.” Lloyd’s brother said, and shot Lloyd. Lloyd dodged the shot, and grabbed the gun. He threw it away.

“Oh, brother, we can talk…” Lloyd’s brother tried to run over the gun. Lloyd ran after his brother. His wound was getting worse, and he could not run very fast. It was too late, his brother had the gun. His brother aimed at Lloyd and pulled the trigger. Lloyd covered his face and closed his eyes. Miraculously, the gun was out of bullets. Lloyd pounced at his brother, and offered his brother heavy punches. Lloyd’s brother soon realized there was a katana beside him. He quickly grabbed the sword and slashed Lloyd. In order to avoid the slash, Lloyd held his brother’s hand tightly until the sword was dropped. Lloyd grabbed the sword and stabbed his brother. Before his brother died, he barely said, “Sorry for what I have done”. Lloyd looked at his full of blood hands. He barely walked away, until he fell down. He tried to move by crawling. His wound got worse, and worse. He was exhausted and laid down.

            Lloyd knew that he would die. He looked at the full moon and smiled. He thought about his wife, and his family. He thought about his hated brother. He blamed on himself for being such a bad person.

“God, I’ve been a bad husband and a bad brother. I killed my own brother. How brutal of me” He said with tears on his eyes, “May God forgive me?” Lloyd died a painful dead. Moonlight was shining at him. After that day, no one can find Lloyd. Someone said that the God had healed him and brought him to the heaven to live a noble life.

Writing Focus

Ha is one of my best friend. He is a hilarious guy, and is sometimes over-emotional,too. He acts insanely when something miserable happen to him. He doesn't look muscular but is pretty strong. He doesn't like being arrogant, and bragging. Therefore, he does not have much friends, and is lonely. He never shares anything with his classmates or even with me, and I guess he is introverted. He has been a loyal friend to me, and has never let me down, even once.
